I believe in working with people's strengths to overcome their difficulties. I believe therapy should be delivered in a respectful, sensitive, non-judgemental, cuturally competent manner. I'm very interested in Women's issues, couples and families. I enjoy working with children. I have additional training in attachment disorder which has allowed me to work succesfully with adoptive and foster families.
I work with individuals, couples and families. I use a variety of resources such as talk therapy, play therapy, psycho-education, depending on the ages and issues of my clients. I work with my clients to develop the treatment plan that best addresses their needs.
I have worked extensively with immigrants and I'm very interested in Cultural Competence. I speak fluent Spanish. I serve on The NH Commission on the Status of Women. I have a good sense of numor which I try to use as much as possible in session.
