I have been in practice for over 30 years. After receiving my Ph.D from the University of Colorado and completing a 3 year Post-Doctorate at UCLA I returned to Colorado to build my practice. For the first several years I worked in both Inpatient and Outpatient environments. As a result I have experience working with a wide range of psychological issues. Currently, I work from my office or do video conferencing therapy with individuals who most frequently present with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. I work with adults and couples.
The first couple of sessions is focused on me getting to know you and getting a good idea of what is going on in your life that has led you to enter therapy. While highly individualized, my general approach is to build a treatment plan that addresses the issues in your life at several levels.
I will work with you in a Collaborative manner at Cognitive, Emotional, Behavioral, Physiological and Lifestyle levels. At each level I will help you develop insights and skills that will help you become increasingly more powerful in your ability to create the life that you want.
