Mrs. Carolyn A. Ramp

Counselor , LPC , NCC , ACS, CPCS

(706) 680-7473
It has been my experience that what most of us are looking for is resolution to the issues we are facing. I have learned to help clients focus on how they want their lives to be different rather than focus on what went wrong in the past. My goal is to understand your concerns and assist you in living a happier and more satisfying life. My experience is varied and includes working with bereavement, grief and loss issues, womens' issues, anger and depression, relationships, and parenting. I have worked with individuals, couples, families.
I am also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. Grief is soul work! Grief is the natural reaction to emotional loss of any kind even loss of trust, loss of faith and loss of health. Most of us have not been taught how to lose; only how to acquire.
I have a Masters and a Specialist Degree in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I am a member of the American Counselors Association and am a Nationally Certified Counselor.

Daughters of Borderlines/Narcissists

No one chooses their parents. In fact, as a child, you depend on your parent. But if you had a less-than-ideal childhood because of your parent's behavior or demands, or if you feel you have to walk on eggshells around your parent, you may have had a parent who was personality disordered. If so, this group can help you gain insight into the impact of your childhood on your behavior today. It can help you piece together what happened to you as a child and determine where you want to go from here.

Mothers of Troubled Youth

When we have a child that is troubled by substance abuse, has a mental disorder or just creates drama and issues in our home, we face many challenges that other mothers cannot understand. This group focuses on how to help mothers of troubled young people learn to interact with their child in more effective ways. It teaches skills to avoid the bait our children attempt to use on us and teaches mothers how to quit feeling guilty and take action to care for themselves.
