Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Sometimes you know things are not right but can't identify how to make it better. By working side by side I help people adjust to challenging relationships, job change, marriage, new baby, divorce, the death of someone close, the care of a family member, health concerns or a move. Even welcome changes can lead to anxiety, confusion, sadness and depression. In a relaxed and respectful manner we'll look at the past but we'll mostly focus on your current interactions.
Many people come to talk about their relationships. Together we figure out what is getting in the way of having the kind of relationships you want and desire. Clients say that talking has helped them get along better with their significant other, boss, friends, parents, children and siblings.
Life's stressors can impact couples as well and lead partners to feeling lonely, shameful, angry, resentful and confused. The rift between partners widens and criticism, anger and loneliness occur. I help couples understand what's happening in the relationship and offer ways to trust and feel close again.
