I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 28 years of experience. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, eating disorders, self-injury, relationship issues and identity development. I primarily work with adolescents and adults providing individual, family and couples psychotherapy. All of my training and clinical work is grounded in evidenced-based research. I am trained in Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR Level-II, Exposure Therapy, and the Safe Alternatives approach.
My treatment orientation utilizes a combination of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness approaches to best fit the needs of my clients. I enjoy teaching my clients coping skills to effectively deal with fear and stress and break away from old, ineffective patterns.
Successful psychotherapy requires the establishment of a safe and collaborative relationship between client and therapist. I believe I can offer you a safe environment and several tools to help you find and maintain hope as you approach change. Please feel free to schedule a consultation with me.
