I'm passionate about helping men, women, and young people escape anguish and giving them the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives. My approach to therapy is based on two principles. The first is to begin with a thorough clinical evaluation in order to proceed with the most effective evidence-based form of treatment. The second is to create a supportive and safe environment in which each client feels comfortable enough to do the difficult work of confronting and overcoming their issues. No matter how deep your pain, I believe you have the ability to lead a better life.
I am privileged to work with a diverse range of clients and I specialize in treating PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Making the right diagnosis is essential to providing appropriate treatment for these conditions, and compassion and patience are needed for making that treatment effective.
As a NY psychologist, I am very conscious of the importance of culturally competent therapy. I speak fluent Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese and have lived in five countries on three continents. I strive to incorporate cultural sensitivity and awareness into all my work.
