It's great you've taken this step. My practice recognizes the normal challenges we face as circumstances change throughout our lifespans. Childhood through Adolescence; School Issues; Marriage, Family and Aging.
Adjusting well to these transitions is the key to preventing the "need" for treatment after problems worsen.
Learning to manage the complexities of life is facilitated with a therapeutic relationship which is trustworthy and productive. Let's do it together!
In utilizing the "psycho-bio-social" model of human functioning, multiple factors are considered in full treatment planning. My orientation is "Cognitive-Behavioral" and I serve as educator, facilitator, consultant and therapist for each client as needed.
In practice for over 25 years, I have worked in and consulted with medical and psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, residential and day treatment programs and child guidance centers. I have been published in "Rehabilitation Psychology" and cited in a series of Chicago Tribune articles.
