Mr. Peter Chirinos

Counselor , MA , LPC , NCC , DCC

(571) 748-7764
I am a generalist with a specialty in couple psychotherapy and expertise in sex therapy and alternative sexuality. I integrate over 20 years of extensive and diverse experiences in the field of behavioral health into the expert treatment of sex, intimacy and relationship related concerns; mood disorders and traumatic stress for adults 18 years of age and older. Therapy is highly interactive, engaging, informative and strength based. The foundation is built on trust, respect and the understanding that the client, with guidance and knowledge, has the strength to move beyond the challenges of being "stuck" in maladaptive patterns.
My specialties include: 1) couple therapy & sex therapy; 2) alternative sexual expression (kink/BDSM/fetish, transgender, bisexuality, polyamory); 3) trauma & abuse; 4) complex and co-morbid psychiatric, substance abuse & medical disorders. I additionally provide training & professional consultations to schools and parents on topics involving emerging alternative sexualities in adolescents.
I'm honored by my clients' ability to trust me in helping them work through intimate challenges they've never shared before. I am open, affirming and support clients in defining and implementing definitions of healthy sex and sexual expressions. Find out more at
