Psychotherapy is one way to promote change which examines attitude, feelings, emotions and motivation when the individual, couple or family experience is less than funtional. The work is mainly to encourage the patient to talk and explore their feelings, beliefs, and thoughts which develops integrated mindful awareness. In other words emotional growth. Additionally, this is a process which seeks to help gain an increased capacity for choice, through which the patient becomes more autonomous,functional and self-determined. Dr. Laine strongly believes that this challenging work is best accomplished in an atmosphere of safety, caring, support and is dedicated to providing this for all patients.
Dr.Laine uses cognitive behavioral, Gestalt, Humanistic along with mindful awareness orientations in his private practice.He works with individuals, couples, families and adolescents.
Additionally Dr.Laine is a former college coach and works with athletes. I am also a Private Pilot and enjoy flying!
