William H Gottdiener, PhD, Psychologist in New York
I am a clinical psychologist who provides psychotherapy for a wide range of people who have a wide range of problems, although I specialize in treating people with addictive disorders--alcohol, drugs, Internet addiction, gambling, etc. Most people who come to therapy are trying to heal psychological pain such as, depression, anxiety, fears of abandonment, low self-esteem, trauma, obsessive concerns, and this includes people with an addiction.
Starting therapy can be a hard choice for many people to make. It is important that if you choose to work with me that we collaborate on helping you achieve goals that are important to you. If you want addiction therapy--abstinence should be your goal--not mine.
I offer brief (16-20 sessions) and open-ended therapy, depending on the nature of the problems you want to address. To book an appointment or to find out more about my services call me at 646-663-4763 or email me at info@wgottdienerphd.com.
