Mental, physical and emotional distress often contain important clues to imbalance in your life. Learning to listen to yourself, with the active support of a trusted therapeutic relationship, can help you to become unstuck and live with greater ease. With this support, you are able to understand the interplay of the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that contribute to the distress in your life. You begin to find hope when recognizable patterns emerge. Hope grows when these patterns are understood and accepted in the context of your past experiences. Change occurs with ongoing feedback, practice and encouragement.
I assist couples in the challenging work of identifying and understanding their harmful patterns of relating and in creating new, more satisfying ways of being together. My clients develop the new perspectives and practical strategies they need to shape the lives they want.
In addition to traditional talk-therapy, I have special training and experience in the use of the creative arts, body-oriented and mindfulness approaches. These ways of working allow individuals of all ages to transcend the limitations of logic and language and more fully express the complexity of their personal experience.
