Karen A McCauley, CMHC, CMHC, LMFT, Counselor in Salt Lake City
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as other serious mental illnesses and personality disorders. I am trained to provide Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), an evidence-based treatment that is particularly helpful for individuals and couples who have difficulty managing intense feelings and moods in relationships. I also offer intensive psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy for individuals looking to make deep personality-driven changes in their lives.
I have trained in psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy and also possess Advanced Practitioner certification in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), which is an evidence-based treatment particularly helpful for individuals and couples experiencing intense, unmanageable feelings and behaviors. MBT is widely recognized as effective with severe mood disorders (Borderline Personality disorder) and interpersonal problems.
Therapy is provided in a comfortable and very confidential setting in downtown Salt Lake City. Please contact me to discuss your concerns and interest in beginning psychotherapy.
