Many of my clients come to see me out of frustration with their personal relationships or work roles. Such frustration can manifest in symptoms of anxiety, depression, and negative coping.
I provide a supportive, yet challenging environment that fosters emotional well-being, new insights, and change. With a positive approach that focuses on individual and contextual strengths, my goal is to help clients develop the self-awareness, self-confidence, and skills necessary to overcome perceived obstacles and improve their relationships and work satisfaction.
Whether it's working with couples confronting communication or cultural differences or individuals struggling with work dissatisfaction, I help people identify their needs and achieve desired results. I also specialize in helping people cope with traumatic experiences so that they regain a sense of safety and control in their lives.
Unique to my practice is my experience working with cultural issues, particularly in the area of cultural adaptation (ethnic, spiritual, gender, and sexual orientation). My ability to conduct therapy in Spanish and Portuguese is an asset in this work.
