I am a psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice near Echo Park / Silver Lake / Los Feliz, in Los Angeles. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and issues around sexuality & intimacy. I have worked as a therapist in hospital, clinic, and private settings. I am also the founder of Silver Lake Psychotherapy, a group therapy practice.

Dr. Shubert received his Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his Doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology. He is a founding member of the Committee on Diversities and Sociocultural Issues at the New Center for Psychoanalysis, and chair of the Committee on Gender & Sexuality of the American Psychoanalytic Association/
