David M Freed, PhD, Psychologist in Salem
The majority of my professional practice involves diagnostic evaluations and neuropsychological testing. The types of issues that I regularly address include brain injury, seizure disorders, dementia, mood disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Due to my experience with a wide variety of clients, I am often asked to provide a diagnosis as well as recommendations for ongoing treatment. When I see an individual for therapy, it is usually related to their adjustment to a disability and ongoing therapeutic guidance.
My professional goal is to use my clinical experience to improve the quality of life for individuals with a variety of brain-based disorders. Over many years and many settings, I have developed an efficient process for conducting evaluations.
Following an extensive history-taking interview (that often includes family members), I conduct testing that is customized for that individual's unique circumstances. I review available medical and psychological information and seek out other sources of information. After reviewing the data, I make recommendations to maximize the individual's capabilities.
