I believe a successful therapeutic relationship is rooted in a deep academic understanding of human development, but is most effective when expressed as a pure, honest and simple communication between client and therapist. My approach is to actively engage, creating a supportive and collaborative environment that is equally empathic and challenging. By focusing on both past experiences and present circumstances, I seek to access the client's inner strengths in order to overcome difficult situations, make life changes and break unhealthy patterns.
I work with children, adolescents, families and adults; with a focus on issues surrounding children with special needs, women's health/life cycle changes, and problems surrounding pregnancy and birth.
In New York City, I earned graduate degrees from Columbia University and Yeshiva University; working alongside renowned psychologists at Columbia University, the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Bellevue Hospital. Thus in experience and philosophy, it is my goal to improve my client's emotional wellbeing in practical life applications.
