I am a warm, caring therapist with a sense of humor and extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults. I specialize in helping people with problems resulting from anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship difficulties at work and in school. I am particularly skilled at building rapport with difficult and treatment resistant clients. As a clinical psychologist I have extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and have seen many clients improve with these techniques. I have helped people overcome their problems in a variety of settings including hospitals, university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and schools.
I have extensive knowledge and experience working within special education. I worked for over ten years as a psychologist for Fairfax County Public Schools, counseling adolescents with significant mental health issues. Having treated these young people makes me a valuable resource for parents involved in the special education process.
I am a former adjunct professor of psychology at George Washington University and am credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Additionally, I am certified to provide telehealth services in all 40 PsyPact approved states.
