I have been in private practice for over 25 years, seeing a wide range of people. I see teens and adults for individual psychodynamic psychotherapy, and also counsel couples and parents. I specialize in play therapy with children. I see clients for short-term as well as long-term therapy depending on their needs. I work with issues of anxiety and depression, relationship problems, communication difficulties, and work concerns. Each person is seen as a unique individual with concerns that are addressed with respect and caring in a safe non-judgmental environment. The goal is to promote self-understanding, self acceptance and a happier life.
With children, my focus is on helping them with the behavioral and emotional difficulties they are experiencing at school or at home. I work towards forming a collaborative team with parents to facilitate their child's development and growth. I also offer insight and strategies to cope with the challenges of family life.
My approach is psychodynamic, interpersonal and interactive, with an emphasis on understanding your emotional needs, improving communication skills, and providing practical solutions to life's challenges.
