Denise K Ambre Lcsw, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Glenview
Everyone experiences challenging situations in life. And while you have successfully navigated through other difficulties you've faced, there is nothing wrong with seeking out extra support when you need it. Things don't have to stay the same - you can feel better, you can feel happy, you can experience joy, not just sadness. I work with children, adolescents and adults around issues such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar, relationship issues, ADHD, stress, PTSD, and attachment issues. To assist in the healing process my therapy involves psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as some CBT/DBT.
One of my specialties is trauma therapy. I believe that you don't have to live with the negative effects of trauma whether it happened yesterday or twenty years ago. Everyone defines trauma differently; be it a failed marriage, loss of job, a physical or sexual assault or any event that has impacted your life.
I bring over 25+ years as a therapist as well as my training as a psychoanalyst, to help you heal, survive and thrive.
