Dayle A Brenner, LCSW-R, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in New York
I have nearly 20 years experience treating adults & couples. My expertise for the first 10 yrs was working with eating disorders, and in 2006 I developed an additional specialty in counseling adults who are considering or are already ending a romantic partnership. You may be stuck in a place that is preventing you from feeling decisive about which step is next. I have counseled many individuals at this juncture, offering non-judgemental support, objectivity, compassion and guidance. Working together, I will help you rediscover your confidence and achieve clarity and peace of mind.
Remaining ambivalent in a relationship is frightening. An all too common dilemma, most of us feel we will be "stuck" indefinitely. I will help you sort through your feelings and reach a sound and practical decision. Couples are invited to explore this juncture together to reach a mutual resolution.
My treatment approach is both direct & empathic. My expertise will assist you in examining your beliefs, and explore the perceptions and behaviors that may be stopping you from moving towards feeling better. I believe that we can easily forget our inherent strength, ability and dreams. With guidance and compassion, I will help you to remember.
