Having been in practice in the South Bay since 1976, I bring a great deal of experience in helping people with problems related to personal or family drug or alcohol use, as well as depression, anxiety, stress, and marital issues. My work with addiction includes problems related to gambling, sex, and food. At present, in addition to my practice, I am the Director of Behavioral Health at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, and the Executive Director and Supervising Psychologist for the Torrance Memorial Thelma McMillen Recovery Center
I am a recognized expert in the area of substance abuse and addiction, and the effect on families as well. In my work with adults and adolescents, I utilize a team approach, and work closely with 12-Step, psychiatrists, treatment programs, and family members.
The most unique aspects of my practice are my 45 years of experience in the community, and the positions of leadership I hold. I have a focused understanding of what people need, what helps people change, and how to assist them in that journey
