I understand that entering therapy is a very difficult decision and one that you may have been thinking about for some time. My initial goal would be to make sure that working with me would be a good fit for you. I hope to provide you with a warm, kind, and genuine environment. Overcoming emotional distress, whether it is depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or postpartum issues can happen in a therapeutic environment. My goal in therapy is to help you through these difficult times, and give you the tools you need to cope with life's stressors.
Regarding psychological testing, forensic evaluations are my area of specialization. I work with attorneys to assist with psycholegal issues including capacity to proceed to trial, criminal responsibility, risk assessment, etc. I also conduct psychological testing for general mental health issues such as educational purposes, (learning disabilities/ADHD), and clarifying diagnoses.
I have flexible office hours including evenings. My office is centrally located near uptown Charlotte, in the Elizabeth neighborhood. Parking is ample, and is always free. I am also available to travel to other locations as needed.
