Therapy should address the specific needs of each client. Having trained in a variety of evidence-based practices and approaches, I work together with my clients to determine which approach works best for them, with the intent of addressing both symptoms and long-standing patterns of behavior. My approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. I also have a background in Jungian Therapy.
I work with adults of all ages, specializing in treating mood (e.g., depression and bipolar disorder) and anxiety disorders, major life transitions (e.g., career, college), relational /familial concerns and trauma /PTSD. I also have specialized training in treating ADHD, sleep disturbance and substance use.
Regarding my background, I have worked at the National Center for PTSD, and have been teaching faculty at UCLA and Dartmouth Med. Schools. I have over 20 years’ experience in evidence-based practices and patient-focused existential traditions.
