Ann C Reeves, PsyD, Psychologist in Wilton
We share many stories of our lives, although others remain unvoiced, even forgotten. As the swan in the so-called "Ugly" Duckling story, however, we all have the innate potential for growth, self-acceptance, and transformation. When you can share your unvoiced stories and identify counterproductive patterns of behavior, you will begin a process of rediscovery, healing, and transformation. This re-discovery can lead to feeling more connected on every level - with your own body, with nature, with spirit, and with others. The therapeutic process is a highly personal journey between us to discover your best self, and mine.
To enhance psychological healing, I blend traditional psychotherapy with alternative techniques. My approach is psycho-spiritual, mind-body work, including stress transformation techniques, such as breathing, visualization, affirmations, and hypnotherapy. I can also assist persons preparing for medical procedures and have extensive experience in the area of death and dying .
I provide a warm and comfortable environment, using my insight, intuition, and over 30 years of experience in hospitals, schools and private practice. My style is informal and non-hierarchical. I can help with life changes, clarifying relevant issues and making wiser choices to encourage self-acceptance and healing.
