DR. DAVIS IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME. I provide individual therapy to adults. I work holistically, consider the whole person and believe in the connections between mind, body and spirit; thoughts, feelings and behaviors and the past and the present. I work actively with clients to identify and gain a better understanding of the influence of past experiences, inner conflicts and struggles and self-defeating thought and behavior patterns on current difficulties. We will develop strategies to remove barriers, build on strengths and capabilities, and develop effective coping strategies.
My treatment approach is based on the values of mutual understanding, trust and respect. I create a safe environment by bringing my warmth, compassion, sense of humor, openness and down-to-earth personal style to the relationship. I am interactive and utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, tailored to clients' needs. We will work collaboratively.
My specialty areas include relationship difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem issues, career/work concerns, stress management, adult children from distressed families (substance abuse, mental illness and/or divorce), life transitions and cultural adjustment issues.
