Trailtalk:Taking Therapy off the Couch, MS, APRN, Psychiatric Nurse in Park City
Trailtalk takes therapy off the couch and onto the trail. We offer signature walk and talks in Park City, Salt Lake City, and Provo. More Trailhead affiliates are opening all over the country. Trailtalk encourages busy, functional people to take care of their emotional selves like they do their bodies. Walking and talking with a trained professional feels less clinical. We use nature as our main therapeutic tool. Trailtalk is de-stigmatizing mental health care access by making therapy accessible, approachable and affordable. We all need mental health check ins and check ups. Better emotional health starts with one step.
Addressing our client's physical and emotional needs is important to us regardless if therapy takes place indoors or out. We practice from a mental health wellness model, which includes developing a support team for client's to promote mind/body integration.
I received a master's degree in pediatric nursing in 1985 and a second master's in psychiatric nursing in 2010. I'm trained in EMDR therapy. I prescribe medication, and also offer medical and mental health care advocacy to individuals and families struggling with navigating their way through the health care system.
