Lauren Altchiler, PhD, Psychologist in Plainview
Life is stressful. It sometimes feels like it's just too much to handle. Perhaps you are feeling tired all the time, anxious, depressed, unfulfilled in your relationships or job, or as though you are going through the motions of life experiencing little joy. You are not alone. Together, we will explore your unique situation and learn the keys to creating greater happiness and moving in the direction of your true purpose. I take an integrative, holistic approach including assessment of psychological as well as physiological issues that may be contributing factors. This is often key to true healing and avoiding medication.
Our thoughts and emotions are incredibly powerful. They actually create our lives! Within us they can create tremendous sadness or overwhelming joy. With greater understanding of the link between thinking and the feelings and behaviors that follow, people can release themselves from old negative patterns and choose to live more positively and healthfully.
I provide individual psychotherapy as well as run group stress management and healthy eating workshops. All services are provided in a warm, supportive environment. Stress Management workshops begin every Fall (and sometimes in the Spring.) I hope you will join us. Call me today and start creating the life you were meant to live!

The Recipe Swap Club

Join The Recipe Swap Club! Each month we will sample a new yummy recipe and will discuss a topic of relevance to our healthy eating journey. In addition, one group member can also make /bake something for the group to try, in exchange for attending that day at no charge. Each member shares one new recipe each month, which I will print and distribute to members. Recipes need to include all "real food" ingredients, be gluten and dairy free, and conscious with regard to healthy fats and sugar. Join our community of healthy eaters and accumulate a cookbook of recipes! Call or email to register.
