Jordan K. Wolfe, LMHC, CGP, Counselor in Seattle
I specialize in helping families, adolescents, and men deal more effectively with their emotions and difficulties in their important relationships. I also offer support for major life transitions, identity issues, and personal growth. My style is warm, interactive, holistic and compassionately direct, and the strength of my approach rests on forging a genuine, durable and trusting therapeutic relationship so that you can feel comfortable in getting real about what's happening with you. As your sense of trust and readiness deepens, we'll begin to take stock of what changes are needed and find personal, realistic and creative ways to help you move forward.
As a Child Mental Health Specialist I know the precious opportunity of therapy and counseling with youth, and I've treated many of their common struggles. I like to include other family members in sessions as well, which tends to support and accelerate progress, strengthen connections, and bring unexpected benefits for the whole family.
My perspective on working with men is flavored by my varied experiences of being a father, boxing instructor, Buddhist monk, yoga teacher, and military intelligence analyst. I embrace the strong, rational, tender, and emotional aspects of "maleness," and I support men in discovering and embodying their own unique blend of these qualities in themselves.

Jordan K. Wolfe's Groups

Thursday Night Seattle Men's Group

Tending the Fire Within: This is an on-going, facilitated group where we embrace and explore issues that men often find themselves struggling with. Together we share and learn to work with our anger, shame, loneliness, fear, grief, and sense of power in order to create lives with more meaning, vitality, and connection. By telling our stories and supporting each other's experience, we delve more deeply into our own unique expressions of masculinity and learn how we can feel more alive by holding our issues with compassion and heart. Call for more details or to inquire about joining.
