I am a cognitive behavioral therapist trained in dialectical behavior therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Many of my clients have difficulty feeling and/or managing emotions. I counsel and teach clients to recognize and manage emotions in order to build a life worth living. I received my DBT training from the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group in Washington state in 1997. Since that time, I have been leading DBT groups for adolescents and adults. I also utilize DBT with parents to aid in effective parenting. In my work with couples, DBT has proven to be effective in increasing positive interactions and emotions.
Current openings in Women's DBT Group, Parents DBT Group, adolescent dbt group, and individual sessions.
