Constant worries keep many people from leading a productive life and negatively affect relationships. A safe and accepting therapeutic environment will help place those worries into perspective. I have worked with children, adolescents, couples, families, adults, and senior citizens. I provide an array of counseling services, including: adolescent substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, parenting skills, anger management, grief and bereavement, trauma, anxiety disorders, self-harm behaviors, gender identity, sexual orientation, acculturation, depression, bipolar disorders, major depressive disorder, and domestic violence.
My areas of specialty include working with many ethnic groups and dealing with difficult issues or situations. I've worked with Latinos, children, adolescents, families and adults, senior citizens and have helped them with anxiety, trauma, alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence, parenting skills, mood disorders, OCD, and behavioral issues.
Therapy is best and most successful when provided in a safe and welcoming environment. Many patients also feel comfortable in their native language. Some individuals prefer Spanish as their primary language, an option that I am happy to offer.
