Welcome. I know it can be hard to seek help. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults who are eager to improve their lives, and the way they act, think and feel. Goals may include the development of healthy boundaries and self-esteem, building an inventory of specific coping strategies, or fulfilling one's dreams and potential. I help individuals take responsibility for their lives: to heal, learn, gain the strength to risk change, and move forward. My goal is to help people blossom into their very best selves. Counseling available at your or my office, or by video/phone.
Initially, we start with the "problem(s)". Then by partializing and prioritizing overwhelming problems into smaller "bites", we address them in turn. Clients can safely vent feelings, build on pre-existing strengths, and learn strategies. Our goals may include the development of healthy boundaries and self-esteem, coping strategies, or fulfilling one's personal goals.
I bring experience as a coach, teacher and therapist to helping individuals manage challenges and change. I support and respect clients' efforts to come to peace with the past, to be authentic, responsible, self-sufficient, and to take an active role in the creation of a far happier life.
