My style can best be described as non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative. I offer a blend of the best practices of Western Psychology and the mindfulness-based approaches of the East. I am trained in EMDR, an integrative psychotherapy approach proven effective for the treatment of trauma. I am also an IFS therapist. IFS offers a clear, non-pathologizing, empowering method of understanding human problems that invites therapist and client to enter into a transformational relationship in which healing can occur.
I have attended several trainings with Brené Brown and am a Certified Facilitator of the The Daring Way ™ based on her groundbreaking work on vulnerability, courage, worthiness and shame.
