Ms. Emily Siegel

Clinical Social Work/Therapist , LCSW

(307) 212-5350
I see therapy as helping people to unlock their highest potential in health, family, work and happiness. It is normal that there are times in life when things get in the way of feeling or doing your best, or even feeling like yourself. Old problems are like toxic waste buried in the backyard. You can lay sod over it, but it's still there and leaks out at unpredictable times. Together with clients, I work to create a safe environment and develop tools to safely remove old "toxins" that interfere in present day. Client's identification of what they want to change serves as the map.
I have experience in private practice, community mental health, and with disaster first responders. I know how difficult it is to ask for help when you're used to being the one in control. I have a special interest in helping family members and loved ones understand emotional issues and the healing process.
I use a range of techniques, drawing from relational psychotherapy, mindfulness practice and body-mind approaches, guided imagery, Internal Family Systems and EMDR. I am an Approved Consultant in EMDR, and incorporate it into an attachment-focused therapy.
