Hello. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with couples and individuals needing help with relationship issues. I thrive on working with couples struggling with infidelity, rebuilding trust or communication/fair fighting and high conflict. The dynamic of a couple is unique and should be approached as such. I believe that every relationship can work and be healthy for both partners if both partners are willing to do the work and make changes. I am also certifified in treatment of personality disorders and am able to help in both individual and couples dynamics.

Ananda (pronounced Ah-nan-duh) is a new provider of mental wellness services (therapy) and yoga in Central Iowa. It is the mission of Ananda to create an inclusive environment that is supportive and welcoming of all who want to find their bliss. Amber Crosby, LISW, is the owner of Ananda. She has been a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Iowa since 2016 and a Registered Yoga Teacher - 200 since 2019. With over 17 years of experience, Amber has gained valuable experience working in Child Protective Services, Healthcare and most recently, the Veterans Administration.

Human to Human counseling believes you are the one who knows best about yourself; working together with you as a team to work on goals the client bring to sessions. Therapy is a place to feel supported, learn new skills and how to implement them, and work through past trauma with an educated and genuine guide. Human to Human Counseling will always support the person that shows up, recognizing we are all human beings with a story and experiences of our own. Three of our five clinicians are trained in EMDR, and the other two use CBT and other methods to support clients through healing after trauma.

I have been practicing for the last decade as a clinical social worker. I take pride in assisting clients in engaging in the therapeutic process to foster personal growth and transformation. My personal and professional view of psychotherapy is one that includes a journey of self-reflection and overall life functioning improvement.

I am here to help them do more than "just get by." My goal is to help you live the life you want and enjoy it more fully. How to better manage anxiety, improve mood, improve coping skills, and better your interpersonal relationships are something I enjoy helping people with. I also address people's history of trauma and how that may be affecting their life and/or relationships.

I am excited to announce my practice is expanding. We now have three licensed therapists who are all fantastic caring people. As a counselor, my job is to hear, accept and understand my client as a whole person and provide strategies to achieve their goals.
