I am a clinical and developmental psychologist who works with young children, adolescents, and adults. I have special interest in post-partum mothers, anxiety reactions, and personality and identity development through life's transitions (parenting, separation, coping with college, new baby, grief, identity crises, major life events, etc.). I work with patients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, attention or learning problems, and those who have experienced traumatic stress or unusual mental symptoms.

We coach adults who are risk takers, movers and shakers, and supreme adventurers who also have ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms. There is no such thing as failure; there is only success and learning. Every individual has the innate talent they need to find for success.

I believe that therapy is an individualized, collaborative process in which we will work towards identifying how you can live a more fulfilling and satisfying life, develop tools for coping with the difficulties that are currently hindering that process, and gain the understanding and ability to get what you need from yourself and others in your life. Whether you have previously seen other therapists or if this is your first time seeking help, I am an active and curious therapist which tends to make it a little easier to engage in this process. I believe that every one of us deserves to live the fullest life we can, even with the very real obstacles that stand in our way. I also believe that struggling is an inherent part of being human. The way we interact with our past, current situation, and dreams and goals can actually lead to increased suffering instead of moving closer to what we want.

This form of therapy teaches you how to change your thinking, with an initial focus on improving the here-and-now with smaller focus on the past. CBT can help improve mood, reduce anxiety and fears, change unhelpful behaviors, make relationships better, and lead to a richer, more satisfying life.
