My name is Mj, and I have been in practice since 2016. I chose a phoenix for my practice mascot because it is a symbol of renewal and rejuvenation. I believe that difficulties can be overcome, wounds can be healed, and everyone is capable of achieving their desired potential.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor and provide services to children, adults and families. I recently completed a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling specializing in Marriage and Family therapy and address behavioral issues including anxiety, depression, trauma & abuse, stress management, grief & bereavement, and behavioral issues. I have received training in Gottman Relational Counseling Level I &II and Emotion- Focused Therapy; EMDR to help those with unresolved trauma and CBT; and also Play and Sandplay therapy. I like to have a lot of fun with my clients and their families and enjoy what I do!

I am a person in recovery from addiction and an eating disorder, so I understand that struggle well and enjoy working with addiction and ED. I have been particularly effective with clients who suffer from addiction, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and women's empowerment. Only taking private pay clients currently.

My name is Nicole Byrum, and I am an independently licensed marriage and family therapist with 16 years of clinical experience. I have worked with a variety of clientele, and much of my work has been with those facing Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Relationship Issues, and Substance Use. I often use a mix of Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Dialectical (DBT), and many more. I believe it is the client's job to determine the goals for therapy, but I will come alongside them to help determine the objectives connected to that goal.

Seeing a counselor takes courage. Most people have tried allot of things before reaching out to a counselor, sometimes even other counselors. It is my goal to make sure you feel safe in the counseling room, to validate and support you throughout the counseling experience. Having to revisit issues from our past does not make us a failure but counseling should balance both the past and present. My focus is to hear your story, help you identify your own hopes and goals, and then work with you to create that pathway forward.

Arbor Counseling is a group practice with several providers equipped to see people with a variety of needs across the lifespan. We treat children, adolescents, adults and families for anxiety, depression, relational issues, trauma, panic attacks, transition, grief, burnout, etc. Each of our providers have their own specialty but we all have a passion and respect for the healing potential of a person's faith and relationship with God that can be incorporated in treatment based on the requests of each person. We are usually able to accommodate whoever calls or will assist in finding someone who can help.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I am passionate about trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBQT concerns, personality disorders, and neurodivergence. An ideal client is an individual who has a growth mindset and explores their thoughts and feelings and how they impact their behavior. They may not understand how those thoughts derived from past experiences, but they are willing to open old wounds given the right tools. They feel safe and secure and want to heal through hard work and determination.

I enjoy working with clients who may be struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, emotional management, poor self-esteem, experiencing grief and loss; who are motivated and open to change and doing homework, and who desire to be a healthier version of themselves.

Are you a young adult woman experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and even trauma? Self-discovery and creating/finding identity are goals I work best with. In my most recent job, I have found that domestic violence survivors and women who experience issues specific to being a woman have piqued my interest. As a therapist, the most rewarding thing is to guide women toward embracing themselves for who they are, heal past wounds, and empower them to live fully and authentically. I believe I have been given a purpose in this world to serve others, and that's what I was created to do.

They are prepared to process internal and external contributors to their mood, discuss options for improvement, and practice healthier skills that will assist in achieving their personal goals. My ideal client is internally motivated and desires emotional balance from concerns such as anxiety, depression, impaired self-esteem, trauma, and interpersonal conflict. They arrive to treatment with goals in mind, and will actively work to experience relief of distressing symptoms.

My ideal client is the client that has an idea of what they want in life but is overwhelmed with life stressors such as anxiety and depression. This client needs a safe space to explore their life options and the triggers that are causing negative thinking patterns, self-doubt, and low self-confidence. This client needs support, encouragement, and a non-judgmental approach to achieve their goals.

I am a licensed professional counselor that has been working in behavioral health for over 20 years. I am a lifelong resident of South Jersey and obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
