Being human is a shared experience. My role in the counseling relationship is of a fellow traveler along your journey. I am a collaborator who both believes and believes in my clients. I am trained in EMDR, Gottman Level II relationship method, and Sex Therapy. I excel when working with relationships, sexuality, sexual issues, life transitions, attachment-based distress, prolonged grief, suicide, self-harm, the Self, and identity crises. As a Licensed Massage Therapist for 15 years, I provide an expertise in bodywork integral to psychotherapy work, connecting the systems of the body with emotional pain and psychological distress.

I believe in creating a safe place, without judgment, to explore issues such as self-worth, interpersonal relationships, and current stressors. I have worked successfully with adolescent through geriatric clients from various cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. I specialize in life transitions, mood disorders, and sex therapy, however, I have extensive experience in working with chronic pain and illness, codependency, and self-harm. I work with you to develop your goals and the best way to achieve them.

I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for 30 years and I very much enjoy my work. My goal is to help people with healing, and in so doing help them to live a more joyful and meaningful life. I have years of experience helping clients address and recover from many different issues. I work with emotional wounds that are often at the core of issues that clients bring to me, and with healing trauma including religious trauma. I have found that when these wounds can be addressed in a safe environment, healing can take place. I work with adults of all life stages, with adolescents, children, with individuals, families and groups.

Life can at times lead you down a different path; most times we can pull ourselves out of it and others we need a little help getting back on track. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that can help you get back on that track. I have experience working with individuals and families from ages 3+ to adulthood. I strive to maintain a safe, nonjudgmental space that clients can feel unconditionally accepted. I approach counseling from an eclectic perspective, depending on how I believe the client will respond.
