My name is Celeste, and I am licensed through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience utilizing Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, EMDR, and Positive Psychology to address multiple issues stemming from depression, anxiety, substance use, phobias, grief, relationships, trauma, chronic pain, low self-esteem, and other life experiences.

I believe that people are the experts of their own lives. Sometimes, past events or current situations cause upheaval and individuals begin to live according to unhelpful narratives which begin to define who they are or believe they should be. Living according to these unhelpful narratives becomes restrictive and uncomfortable, much like wearing shoes that are three sizes too small.

There is a more compassionate way to motivate change! I provide in-person sessions in Surprise, AZ and telehealth to clients all over Arizona. I believe the best life is one lived with meaning and purpose where we are connected to others in healthy ways. Challenges and hardships are guaranteed. Bad things happen. How we look at and respond to these experiences can create obstacles to living the life we desire. My goal is to provide a safe place to explore the origins of pain with self-compassion. My passion is working with clients to unlock this self-compassion, making room for breakthrough and healing.

I come from a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, where I was able to apply my unique counseling skills in a diverse community of teaching, accounting/finance, analytics, and guidance for students and school leadership. I spend much of my spare time with family, serving in church leadership, reading/writing, and enjoying the great outdoors.

I have 18 years of experience in the social service field and have been a Clinical Director for several programs in the valley, but enjoy providing therapy to individuals and families the most. Hello, I am the owner of Counseling Embodied, a private practice in the Glendale / Peoria area. We have immediate availability & offer sessions both virtually and in-person. I work with individuals (18+) and couples. I specialize in helping people with anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity issues, chronic health issues, and trauma. I work with couples who struggle with intimacy, connection, communication, and family stressors (pregnancy and birth, blended family, conflicting parenting approaches).
