I have more than 19 years of experience collaborating with clients to successfully address a variety of behavioral, relationship and challenging life issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, life transitions, substance abuse and infidelity. I utilize a number of therapeutic modalities, depending on the issue to be addressed, including cognitive behavioral, humanistic, self psychology, motivational interviewing and EMDR.

The populations I specialize in counseling include people who identify within the broad spectrums of sexual orientation & gender identity, their loved ones, allies, persons living with HIV, & polyamorous folks or others in non-monogamous or open relationships. I have experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, & those going through life changes. I also enjoy teaching life & coping skills, assertive communication, boundary setting, mindfulness, & doing relationship counseling. A large portion of my practice focuses on work with clients who struggle with issues related to trauma, attachment, and interpersonal wounding. This has led to an extensive background in many different disorders and presentations. In addition to working with individual clients, I also work with parents, including adoptive parents.

Primary Therapist Danny Seliger studied at Rhode Island College where he graduated cum laude with a double major in psychology and chemical dependency/addiction studies. Danny is a person in long term recovery and has worked as a substance use clinician at many different levels of care including outpatient, residential, and in an acute psychiatric hospital. Danny’s experience in all these settings has given him a unique skill set in which he is able to treat a variety of substance use and co-occurring issues.
