I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with certifications in DUI assessments, Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT), Neurofeedback/ Biofeedback, Interactive Metronome (IM) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In my practice I see clients of all ages, for therapy and testing/evaluations. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse/dependence, behavior disorders and family systems issues. Most of my clients present with a combination of symptoms. I tailor treatment to the specific needs of the client and use research proven techniques to meet the needs of the individual, or family, in a collaborative setting. I teach healthy coping skills to address a wide range of symptoms.

We all experience challenges and opportunities to grow and emerge stronger. I believe most humans instinctively move toward higher ground. Sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us who can help keep hope kindled and discover new, less painful, costly routes on the climb. I've had the privilege to journey with clients for over 25 years. My passion is working with those who've been marginalized or who experience themselves on the edges of community. I love witnessing clients do hard things, sit in difficult places, and face what scares them most.

I have 28 years in the Deaf Education classroom as a teacher and have changed over to being a nationally certified counselor of the Deaf/HOH and their families. I am working towards my licensing in Oklahoma with Joy Oliver LPCS. She is my supervisor. I counsel Tuesdays through Friday using Sign Language and a Client Centered Therapeutic approach. I am comfortable in working with all age groups. I am a contract employee of Beacon Pointe and I can accept Medicaid clients.

Jack Smith has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Ethics, and a master’s degree in Counseling, both from Mid America Christian University, in Oklahoma City. After graduating and finishing his practicum hours, Jack is currently completing his LPC candidacy at Mid Del Youth and Family Center, working with students in the Midwest City and Del City area. He began working in group homes as a houseparent and activities coordinator.

Life is pretty good about throwing us curve balls. Sometimes, these curve balls can be devastating. They can impact our daily lives, our relationships, how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. My goal is to help people work through challenging events in their life and make the changes that are important to them. I have enjoyed working as a Counselor for over 10yrs and have worked with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. During this time, I have had experience working with children, adolescents, families and couples.

Please make good demonstration of your strength & determination to help you or your teens/personal growth and emotional well-being. I specialize in trauma PTSD, bariatric issues, sexual ,physical abuse, domestic violence, grief, &neglect. I use several different approaches to best serve my clients. I see a variety of clients that include multiple cultural differences, sexualities& diverse backgrounds. I do not take Soonercare/Medicaid as primary insurance, only secondary.
