As a licensed mental health practitioner in private practice, I meet each client and situation with openness and authenticity. My office provides a safe and welcoming space for vulnerability, healing, and personal growth. I utilize a client-centered approach combined with effective psychotherapy interventions to help clients reach their desired level of fulfillment and functioning. Combining a variety of therapeutic interventions with my holistic integrative training offers clients a personalized treatment approach to promote healing and optimal holistic health.

I am an LMFT with over 30 years experience working with couples and individuals ages 12 and up addressing a wide range of issues. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, work challenges, grief and loss, addiction, aging, transitions, managing stress and relationship issues. I love what I do and feel privileged to do this important work. I create a safe place for people to address their concerns, fears and life changes that affect us all.

I feel fortunate to have the experiences that I have had in working with a diverse group of individuals with various stories. I am able to build rapport quickly, making the client feel comfortable, and can assist in guiding the client in meeting their goals. I bring a unique experience as I look at the whole person to explore what all is, or has impacted them. We don't focus on disease management but strive to focus on overall wellness-mind, body, and soul. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who are facing painful impasses in their lives. When we encounter overwhelming problems that seem irresolvable, we may feel that life as we know it is over. And in fact, it is. The feeling that our life has become unlivable is a sign that we are ready to transcend our current way of living and pursue a richer one, marked by greater authenticity and love. This sort of self-transcendence is a possibility for anyone willing to listen to the call, including those who have an interest in practicing therapy in continuity with their religious faith.

I specialize in working with clients seeking to better understand themselves and foster deeper connections in their relationships. Many of my clients find themselves excelling at many areas of their life while still feeling alone, discontent, and disconnected. This can lead to destructive behaviors as well as depression, anxiety, and addiction. Through a holistic approach, we will get to the heart of the matter and begin to identify and build a life that has more happiness, connection, and contentment. I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional, Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health, Licensed Addiction Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Approved Supervisor Status, and National Certified Counselor. I have over 30 years of experience in working with individuals, couples, and families (children, adolescents and adults). I have also provided counseling and education to healthcare professionals, legal professionals, athletes, educational organizations, workplace environments, and community groups.

The kindest thing we can do for ourselves is to face life's challenges with honesty and bravery. But doing so can be painful, and often requires support from others. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to help differentiate what we can and cannot change, and to guide us toward self-affirming, healthy choices without judgment or pressure.

I believe that genuine presence, authentic connection, and a welcoming sense of curiosity, inspires each client to recover and overcome. I hold genuine and positive regard for my clients which enables me to encourage and support them as they come to understand the origins of their challenges and how to meet and transform them. I counsel individuals (ages 17 and up). My practice focuses on transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, spirituality and meaning and highly sensitive persons (HSPs). My commitment is to discover the strengths and gifts of each client so they may discover their true self.

Taking a few new clients. In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer there is the Island of Misfit Toys, filled with playthings that seek love but are rejected because they don’t function like traditional toys.
