My goal is to be someone who stands with you when life is overwhelming, and stays with you till you come out the other side. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and approved supervisor licensed by the state of Texas. I received a BA in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, a MS in Counseling from the University of Houston - Clear Lake, and a MPhil in Developmental Psychology from Walden University. I am accepting new clients at a private practice located in the Webster/Clear Lake area. I have a passion for helping others navigate their way through life’s ups and downs and helping them build the skills needed to cope with the issues that are causing problems for them. My particular passion is for taking broken and hurting marriages and helping restore them to God's design for how a marriage relationship is supposed to work. I have helped many couples recover successfully from infidelity. I also work with a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, caregiver issues, grief, and life-stage adjustments. I love doing premarital counseling, and believe that this is a critical step in establishing a healthy marriage. I am also familiar with military/ veteran issues.

For over 20 years in the Clear Lake, Baytown and Galveston areas, Ms. Layne, has provided child( ages 6+), adolescent, adult, couples, and family therapy. She has provided trauma-recovery, cognitive behavioral, behavior modification, and insight oriented therapy, to survivors of sex, physical, emotional abuse and other life changing events. Ms. Layne has extensive experience working in juvenile justice systems, and under the guidance of psychiatrists, and psychologists providing assessments, crisis, short, and longer term therapy services.
