My areas of focus are Trauma, CPTSD, and burnout; Relationship issues, dating, and attachment wounds; and 2SLGBTQ+ Identity exploration and affirmation.
You are struggling to experience a sense of belonging, and yet you don’t feel that you are offered any choice in life. At times, you may feel disconnected from yourself. Once you begin to uncover yourself, you will find that you were born with freedom, integrity, joy, and love; you’ve simply been conditioned to forget all these gifts. It's okay to experience all the emotions, even if they can be overwhelming at times. As a queer Asian immigrant in a diaspora, I understand how hard life transitions can be. My relational approach to healing trauma will help you practice feeling worthy, and loved, and a sense of belonging.

I offer supportive psychotherapy (one or two weekly meetings) or more intensive approaches such as psychoanalysis to create a therapeutic relationship - a potential space that makes it possible to discuss the issues that need to be worked through.
Psychoanalysis is a way to understand and overcome different levels and forms of stress generated by challenging events or deficits occurring in human life. Those undesirable events are sometimes too intense to affect human personality and cause suffering and challenging existential moments. In those moments, we feel the emotional need for personal psychological support that implies not only professional readiness and personal maturity to help but also concrete humanistic values cultivated in our professional ethics. The therapist's ability to connect on an emotional level and arrive at a rational understanding > > >

Have you experienced a loss in your life? Any type of loss can be painful, isolating, life changing, and sometimes confusing. Or maybe you've experienced a life transition. Life transitions can include starting a new job, moving to a new country, starting a new relationship, or a loved one becoming ill. Life transitions can leave you feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, angry, or directionless. Even joyous transitions can be impactful in unexpected ways. These feelings are very normal, and a way of our bodies telling us that we’re not okay. What we often need during these times is a space to heal. Healing starts from feeling safe.

While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
