What drives me to do this work is simple: connection. It can be difficult to find someone who is willing to unbiasedly listen and see life through your eyes and your relationship. Therapy can be difficult, it requires exposure of thoughts and feelings that you spent a lot of time hiding. It takes courage and self-awareness to start therapy. Anyone reaching out to start that process deserves somebody ready to listen. The best therapy is when a person is ready to make changes in their life. A lot of external change can happen when you make internal changes – by addressing deeply held beliefs and challenging assumptions often accepted as true. Being Native Hawaiian born & raised on Oahu island, have experience working with Hawaii's Unique Multicultural population. According to a recent study by Krogstad (2015) Hawaii is home to the Nation's Largest Multiracial American population. This means, 1 out of 4 individuals (24%) identify with multiracial or multicultural ancestry. Therefore, to provide "culturally sensitive" therapeutic services, is to, provide "competent" therapeutic services.

Dr. Kehoe offers community based mental health services in 7 convenient offices located in Aiea, Ewa, Honolulu, Kahuku, Kaneohe, Makaha and Wahiawa. Dr. Kehoe specializes in adult, family and child psychology and offers a number of services including behavioral health treatment, child, adolescent, individual and family counseling, behavioral modification therapy, testing and assessment, psychotherapy, and skills training (ST). Outpatient substance abuse treatment and supportive services as well as face-to-face mental health crisis support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
