I've been in practice for over 10 years and have seen patients from three-ninety years old. Many transitions occur throughout the lifespan and during these transitions; some can be more difficult than expected and need examining for better understanding and practices. To do this I facilitate an environment free of judgement and help my patients understand their feelings and thoughts, as well as how to improve their behaviors to better their lives and futures. I enjoy my work and very much and strive to help people find their own voice, achieve their greatest accomplishments and successes in life, love, and work.

Worrying can be exhausting. Do you feel like you just can't stop the worried thoughts no matter how hard you try. Therapy is a safe place where you can process the thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing and learn effective ways to cope. I would love to come alongside of you so you can sort through the places you feel stuck and figure out how to move forward. You will learn strategies that will enable you to feel calm and peaceful and more confident in your ability to manage the challenges you are facing. I will support you, listen non-judgmentally and be in your corner.

Hello! I have had the privilege of working closely with many individuals suffering from issues such as chronic depression and loneliness, relationship difficulties, obsessions and compulsions, abandonment fears and attachment anxieties, and trauma-related symptoms. You may be seeking relief from similar difficulties, hoping to navigate complex life situations, and/or simply seeking greater self-understanding or insight. Psychotherapy can often be of immense help in achieving these goals.

No matter how hard you try to move forward, you feel like your taking one step back. You’re a high performer with perfectionism tendencies and always put on a smile, which helps you forget your pain. You may feel you will never be fully happy and never be able to fully enjoy life how others do, because of your many losses, attributing to your decreased self esteem. You may keep friends and family at a distance, to protect yourself from yet another inevitable loss. You may have stopped exercising and taking care of yourself the way you used to, since it takes too much work and you're just surviving at the end of another long day.

I work with high functioning professionals with trauma inducing work and/or previous Traumas. Often, this leads to things like: unwanted habits, exhaustion/fatigue, low self worth, moral injury, compassion fatigue, etc. If you are living a 'successful' life, yet feel you got lost in it somewhere, let's talk! Unfortunately, stigma for mh and sud issues also exists for providers. Coaching is a tool that can address your targeted pain points and produce results - safely, confidentially and with support of a peer with vast knowledge in these matters and how they impact our work and lives (and vice versa).

“The only constant in life is change.” Are you adjusting to a: new job, relationship, loss of a loved one, or overall change in your way of life? Do you feel overwhelmed by the many changes causing you to feel stagnant? You notice others seemingly accepting change fluidly throughout their lives and are somewhat in awe of the process. You are tired of replaying the same scenario in your head, while your sadness and anxiety escalate.

Immediate Same Week Openings, including afternoons and weekends! Sometimes we get caught up in the messiness of life and forget to enjoy it! I get it, life can be stressful! All of our feelings are normal but sometimes we feel them more intense and they might even make our day to day lives extra challenging (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, negative thoughts, sound familiar?) You are deserving of a life you enjoy living and I am here to help you get back to your best, authentic self.

We all have a story to tell, we decide where that story is going, and we create our stories in the here and now. I strive to meet clients as they are and where they are when they come to therapy. I aim to create a welcoming, authentic, and safe space to explore feelings, develop stronger coping skills, and gain insight. By taking an active role in the therapeutic process, I am confident in the client’s ability to self-actualize, create the changes they wish to see, and meet their goals. Life can be challenging, but with the right guidance those challenges can become your strongest tools in navigating and transforming your life.

Being a transparent person and working in the field of addiction has helped me relate and understand others in their recovery journeys. My purpose today is to help others figure out their ways that they want to live a healthier better life and how they can do that with talk therapy. The ideal client would be someone that is open and willing to make changes in their lives and to grow by self reflecting on where they want to go in their future.

“Life be lifing!” How often are we saying this to describe how hard life can be? Life can throw a lot at us that is challenging to manage. This can often leave us feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, inadequate, and/or stuck. We may not be able to specifically name the impact, but we know we aren’t feeling like ourselves, and our previous coping strategies aren’t helping to return to our “normal.” Taking a step back to reflect and gain awareness can be helpful to make progress. Sometimes we need a supportive person to listen, validate, provide insight, and a fresh perspective to assist in developing strategies that can help us flourish.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Anthony has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder and children behavioral disorder.
Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. As a solution-focused psychologist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While I can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, I will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

As a clinician, I focus on collaborative and client centered treatment, as it allows for improvement in all facets of a client’s quality of life.  Further, it fosters my ability to work holistically towards a client’s personal and family goals in unique and effective ways, as there is greater opportunity for therapeutic rapport and sense of personal control over challenges. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach, though have become more attune to hybrid interventions that best suit individual needs. I have been a Certified Brain Injury Specialist for several years and continue to strive towards serving this population.

Have you ever found yourself unable to feel better, despite past attempts to think your way out and move forward? Like a cycle you can't escape? Is it sometimes hard to "human"- to socialize, get yourself to focus, to navigate sensory overwhelm, or even to communicate to others? Maybe you've seen therapists in the past who seemed to be puzzled by you or not on your wavelength so you felt stuck. Are you looking to get to the root of these challenges and heal them for good instead of chronically coping just to get by? Do you need to make a change, but don't want to simply talk about your feelings? The good news is everyone can heal.

The most challenging step in seeking help is making the first appointment, and I understand it might be anxiety provoking. I provide individual and couples' therapy utilizing cognitive-behavioral theories within a solution-focused framework. This allows for some relief to happen quickly for depression, anxiety, panic, grief, PTSD, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, care giver stress, eating disorders, substance abuse, trichotillomania, infertility, LGBTQQIAAP issues, and neuropsychological (head injury, dementias). I also complete surgery (bariatric, gender) and adoption evaluations. ACCEPTING NEW TELEHEALTH PATIENTS.

I believe that therapeutic change comes from the process of building and maintaining relationships while remaining connected to our sense of self, including within the therapy room. I work primarily from a relational and psychodynamic stance, meaning that I am interested in how your past experiences impact you in the present. My approach to therapy is also informed by attachment patterns (how we act and feel in relationships) and somatic sensations (what our body is telling us about our environment).

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
