I specialize in group therapy, family therapy and working individually with adults and adolescents.
Relationships are powerful. They have the power to inspire us, help us grow, or they can smother and even damage us. We spend much of our time and energy engaged in relationships, tolerating, fixing, and avoiding relationships. I believe that relationships are powerful vehicles for change. As a psychotherapist, I offer a relationship that is warm, challenging, accepting, and personal where you can feel a full range of emotions, learn, grow, and attain your goals.

I believe life can be challenging enough as is, without having to navigate it with anxiety, depression and racing thoughts. I believe reaching out for help, or just someone to talk to, is the most important thing you can do. Life is stressful, life is messy and sometimes having someone to talk to can help clear your head. Please don’t overthink things, don’t spend hours looking for the “perfect therapist, and over analyze the therapy process. I’m here to help, just reach out that’s the first step!

Hi there! My name is Chloe. I am a Master of Social Work student at the University of Texas at Arlington and have over five years working in the social work field. My background has equipped me to see the best in every individual and help them to reach their fullest potential. I specialize in working with individuals with a variety of issues including: ADHD, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma, life transitions, family/relationship conflict, and self-esteem. I believe that therapy should be tailored to each client individually as it is not a “one size fits all" solution.

Accepting clients May 2024. Without judgment, I help clients overcome addictions to alcohol, weed, sex, food, and hard drugs by helping them face the very difficult triggers behind the addictions itself (such as unaddressed depression, trauma, and self esteem, etc; I particularly work with sexual addictions). This approach can be very emotionally difficult, so I recommend only clients who are ready for major life changes apply.

I serve as a companion for those who seek to find peace and empowerment through healing and growth. Many do not realize when we are operating in an unhealthy mind/ body state because we believe the environment is the lone cause of our unease. The prevalent cause of our misery and frustration usually lies in: unresolved pain, unhealthy thought processes, and lack of confidence and power which keeps us on a maladaptive road of misery or stagnation. The good news is that you hold the key to your healing and I would be delighted to guide you in using it. Immigration Psychosocial Evaluations are also offered.

As we go through life, we experience joy but also heartache, pain and suffering. My clients usually have a consistent theme of childhood and/or adult trauma and as a result are having relational issues and doubts about themselves. They need to be heard and validated. They need to know that each person is unique and special. I have many years of experience and I have studied various models of therapy. I have learned that if a client learns to regulate their internal state, then they begin to heal. All of life's healing happens in the context of attuned relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and partnership.

Seeing BCBS & UHC Medicare Advantage! I am here to work with you to develop resilience against anxiety, depression---and any other painful or distressing issue. I am hoping for you to have a happy, creative, and productive life in a world full of challenges. Many patients need to verbalize their fears to be able to look at their situation from multiple perspectives. You can face the irrational aspects of worrisome thoughts. We can consider your prior coping mechanisms, to be replaced by more adaptive coping tools. Let's think of your life today and forward, accepting yourself more, and understanding how to deal with others.

Relationships are inherently complex, and even our most intimate ones can be confusing and painful. It's my job to help you make sense of the complexity. Rather than focusing on fixing something, I put greater emphasis on understanding and processing your conflicting feelings and desires. When we are able to identify and explore conflicting states of mind, we feel less stuck and more free to make choices that reflect what is most authentic to who we are.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
