Hello. I'm Tori. I'm so glad you are here. As a professional counselor, my goal is to help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, feel less alone, and create the changes you want in yourself. I‘ll work with you in a compassion, collaborative way to overcome the roadblocks that you struggle with even if they seem overwhelming. I specialize in working with clients dealing with anxiety, trauma (especially sexual abuse/assault and relationship violence), PTSD, grief, and gender identity. I am LGBTQ affirming. I work from a social justice and feminist framework. I am a CCTP Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

I am accepting new clients and can be a source of support for them in developing and achieving their goals. I work with clients who are experiencing grief, family conflict, excessive worry, perfectionism, and depression. I also work with clients who have experienced trauma in their lives in order to help them process this in a healthy way and move forward into a happier future. I am trained in EMDR which is a specialized therapy used to treat trauma-related needs. I enjoy working with children to help them learn to manage anger, distractions, hyperactivity, feelings resulting from divorce, and school problems.

I really enjoy working with all types of clients - all ages and all issues. From grade school children to older adults - I work with individuals and their families to help everyone get through life's trials and tribulations in the best way we can - together. I have worked in the mental health field for 40+ years. During my career I have worked with a variety of patients including adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have treated trauma exposure, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, mild autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder (and related issues). I have also provided support for individuals in recovery. I believe that by identifying, focusing on, and enhancing clients' strengths, I can assist them in developing additional individualized tools to meet mental health challenges.

With an extensive background in child welfare, counseling, consultation, life coaching, and the observance of resources needed for underprivileged families and services for behaviorally challenged youth, I founded Love Out Loud Counseling and Consulting Services. My primary focus is with adults ages 18-75 who have experienced trauma including sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as trauma that is relative to the particular clients personal experiences. I will also see older teenagers with trauma related issues. Other focus areas include treating adults ages 18-75 with eating and addiction issues, depression and anxiety, issues relating to divorce or family system challenges.

The focus of our practice, is to assist adults, children, and families with obtaining relatable therapy, to reach goals. We assess situations in your life which contribute to current emotions behaviors and thought patterns. With child and adolescent clients our focus is similar, with the addition of close communication with the family. Moreover, with child and adolescents, we will focus on depression, impulsive behavior, limited attention span, oppositional/defiant behaviors, dishonesty, and social issues in school/home.
