I enjoy working with people of all ages who are striving to move through and process the difficult life experiences, changes and transitions we all experience such as grief & loss, divorce, trauma, addictions of all kinds, parenting and behavioral problems in children and adolescents.

Visualizing your past and present journey to your future goals by implementing realistic goals created by you. Realizing your growth while gaining self-esteem, self-efficacy and empowerment is rewarding in itself. Hello! I look forward to working with you. I established a private practice in January, 2022 after teletherapy proved to be such an important mode of treatment. I take a holistic approach in developing a relationship with each client and I am careful to consider the 4 components of their well-being; the physical, the emotional, the psychological and the spiritual. I offer a straight forward, down to earth approach to motivate my clients to challenge their belief systems and to develop healthier coping strategies for life change. I can help you develop communication skills, set boundaries in relationships and live your best life.

I have been working in the social work field for over 24 years. My experience has been primarily with Adolescents and Adults who suffer from addiction and mental health disorders. I enjoy the process of engaging individuals and trying to develop a working relationship built upon sincerity and trust. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect of any effective counseling session. I understand and recognize that each individual is unique and brings his/her different life experiences and circumstances to the therapeutic relationship which serve as their building blocks of internal change and self-growth.

I understand that it takes a great deal of courage to be vulnerable to others. Some of our life experiences can leave us with feelings of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and self-doubt.  Our responses to suffering and how we try to protect ourselves to avoid future pain can leave us feeling stuck. My approach in the session would consist of Cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and EMDR. Sessions are in-person located in Hamburg and Randolph NY or Telehealh.

I am a full-time practioner, and have been a therapist for over 30 years. I have worked in many different settings. I am not accepting new clients, other than the folks i have already communicated with. Trust is an important part of any relationship. I understand that it is something that is created slowly, and maintained over time. I often serve as someone who bears witness to the stories people bring with them. I have worked in numerous settings including: outpatient, inpatient, residential and detention settings. I have experience and a strong interest in working with folks ages 3 and up.
