My practice is a welcoming, safe space open to folks of any gender, orientation, race, or religion. People who work with me say they feel deeply listened to and understood. My approach rests in a trustworthy relationship and focuses on nurturing healthful developmental and coping skills, as well as identifying and resolving problematic patterns. My primary effort is to help each client achieve his or her personal goals related to what brought them to therapy.

I help women who have survived sexual trauma find their inner voice to set boundaries assertively. You may have dealt with relationship trauma. Perhaps you struggle to be vulnerable in new relationships or with your partner. Many come to therapy seeking to grow their support system, or strengthen bonds with loved ones. I have helped numerous clients with dating and finding a heart-centered relationship.

I am here to help my clients process whatever hurts or challenges they are experiencing, clarify their priorities, and motivate them to pursue their goals. I'm drawn to restoring equilibrium where it may have been lost, or has yet to be established. I have worked with clients on issues ranging from grief, depression, anxiety, feeling "stuck" or "lost", psychosis, addiction, relationship conflict, life transitions, questions of identity, and intersections thereof. My ideal client is open to engage in self-exploration, and willing to explore a balance between change and acceptance that is right for them.

Therapy is a place where you can ACT OUT LOUD your frustrations and give voice to the troubling thoughts in your head that cause emotional turmoil and hold you back from being your best self. My clients include individuals who struggle with anger, depression, anxiety, sexual identity, behavioral issues, adjustment issues, grief, loss, life transitions and a host of other challenges. I'm also a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS).

I believe, after 20+ years of experience, that my primary responsibility as a psychotherapist is to help you to reconnect with your own intuitive wisdom, which can get clouded by life stressors and relationship influences. Our work together will be tailored to address your unique needs, whether it be issues associated with depression, anxiety, sexuality, substance abuse, or a traumatic history; anything that creates a barrier to your best self. I also work quite effectively with couples, always looking to improve communication, as well as discovering underlying issues that can create barriers.

It's hard sharing your thoughts, feelings and experiences, especially if you don't know who to trust.
