It is very important to me that we can work together to help you live your best life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my style is unique. I understand that the fast paced life we all live in is not always conducive to spending lots of time in therapy. Therefore, I like to equip every person who comes into my office with the skills, confidence and competence to tackle whatever life throws your way.

Focusing primarily on relationships, sexuality and trauma, I seek to meet ALL patients and couples where they are. I believe in a relational and holistic approach that addresses relevant issues that affect current functioning, resilience, coping, and recovery. Patients and couples with diverse gender expressions/identities and sexual orientations are welcome and embraced. Starting with the belief that relationships are central to our well-being, I partner with patients to create a warm & safe space in which to explore patterns that effect individual, sexual & relationship well-being.

As we travel through life we will encounter problems, challenges, and barriers. Having worked as a counselor for nearly a decade I make it my goal as your provider not to remove the challenges or barriers to your happiness but to stand with you and guide you through the hardships together so that you become empowered and confident in your ability to live the life you've always wanted. Nancy Lloyd is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in relationship issues, grief and loss, life transitions, depression, eating disorders, trauma, recovery from substance abuse, anxiety, gender issues, and symptom management for chronic problems. She has gained experience both in private practice and community mental health services after graduating from The Citadel Graduate College in 2010. Nancy primarily works with adults but has notable experience with adolescents and children when providing interventions for families.

I have been a therapist and counselor for over 15 years. I work with people who have a DEEP desire for change in relationship to why they are coming in for counseling. I specialize in helping people work through their personal issues such as; marriage problems, depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, mood disorders, sexual issues, communication issues, career/life coaching, parenting coaching, dysfunctional relationships, or any other behavior problems that are interfering with a normal or higher quality of life.

I bring a sense of humor and compassion to my work with clients.  Your issues may, of course, be serious, but sometimes humor can help bring needed perspective.  I provide counseling as well as life coaching.  I realize some people are stuck in a rut and just need just 5-10 sessions to get going. Other people might be interested in a more long term approach.  I can work with you either way. I realize that you might feel apprehensive about the counseling process, so I have incorporated an easygoing style that greatly helps to reduce people's sense of unease.
